It is no wonder our country is going to hell. Business's do not reply to letters, etc. Commissions do not respect the poor citizens trying to locate in a vacinity they can afford. I sent your office two (2) applications for locating a place to live in your direct area. Nothing. I call that insubordination. And it is uncalled for. Your office is to respect older citizens when contacted. Shame on you and your employee's, whomever received my applications. (2) -that is part of the reason you are not trusted. I need a home back in your area. I am 88 years old and wish to live in my old surroundings. For the manager of this dept. You should check up on employee's who receive mail, do not follow up the need, etc. How many applicants have been 'ignored' by your office? For shame. I recemmend you find a person to be in charge of that particular office (applications for us seniors) needing a home. Lillian angelo, arizona looking and wanting to come home. No help from st. Clair shores office.

Check For Waiting Lists

Most apartments have waiting lists. Search early and do not just settle on one apartment choice.

Contact Your Local Housing Authority

Housing authorities have many opportunities. Many do have closed waiting lists, but they may be able to provide other public housing resources.

Check The Federal Poverty Sliding Scale Guidelines

Check to see if you qualify for low cost or free housing by comparing the guidelines to your income records.
