Windham Village is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30% of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance. HUD Residents also may choose to pay what is known as flat rent. The HACC works with applicants to determine which rent arrangement is best for them.

Windham Village is an affordable senior and family community comprised of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments.  The property serves low to very-low income households.  Tax-exempt bond financing was provided by Citi Community Capital.  

Renovation highlights include: new siding, entry doors, energy efficient windows and patio doors, trellises, decking, fencing, site lighting, wall furnaces, elevator retrofit, signage, improvements to site accessibility, paving and landscaping.  Kitchens and bathrooms received new cabinets, countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring and energy efficient lighting.  Additionally, a new community room, computer learning center and courtyard were added to enhance the lives of the residents.

Section 8 units are available for qualified households.
