I went into 310 n commerce, which is the section 8 office, and i don't think i will ever go back. I have a hard time going into these places and asking for help, so to be treated and talked to like i'm an annoyance and to have no information for me at all... Apparently section 8 is closed due to limited capacity. So they are not taking anybody else for at least a month or longer. I asked three times if there was somewhere else or what i should do as i'm facing homelessness. The answer was "idk". Then she kept repeating they are at full capacity and her annoyed body language and attitude in general was enough to let me know she didn't care and we were done talking. If section 8 is closed it would be helpful, since the office is still open, that they have a couple names and numbers or even just a friendly word would be helpful and appreciated. I can't believe how i was treated right now and hope that no one else ever has to feel the way i was just made to feel walking out of any office where help is offered.
