Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in North Carolina, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

      User Response: Yes, very safe. There are cameras on the inside and outside of the complex and the doors lock after 5pm when the leasing office closes. You must be a resident with a key to enter the complex after 5pm.

    I would like more information please about the low income housing in thomasville. I need a place to live with my 2yr old daughter. I don't have anywhere to live. Ive been staying with family but they need their own space so they've asked me move out as soon as i can. Im desperate and in definite need. Ive cried all day because i can't get anyone to help me and ive never had to ask for help like this. Please help me!
