Meridian Tower offers seniors and non-elderly disabled individuals a unique independent living experience at a well-located, beautiful and distinctive apartment community in Bristol, near the Farmington line. This 173-unit complex is designed to provide a friendly residential atmosphere with neighborhood services and special features to make living safer for the independent elderly and disabled. Meridian Tower is beautifully appointed, convenient and affordable.


This community offers you easy access to shopping, banking and restaurants. Local bus services are also available to take you to a variety of destinations, including nearby places of worship and shopping malls.


Meridian brings together under a single roof many common use amenities for adult living such as on-floor laundries and large public areas. Our beautiful facilities include an on-site office and community room with a full kitchen, a beautiful patio and outdoor areas with benches placed alongside the walkways. Each residents apartment features one bedroom with living/dining area, a fully equipped kitchen including range, garbage disposal and refrigerator. The property is fully handicapped accessible and has apartments designed specifically for individuals with disabilities.


Special amenities for the security of residents include keyless entry doors, outside lobby with intercom system, smoke detectors, emergency lights, alarm bells and grab bars.


Admission is open to any household where there is a certified disability or a member 62 years of age or older. The amount of rent is determined by ones income with subsidies being available to individuals or couples that qua1ify.

Meridian Tower has an onsite Services Coordinator to help residents identify and locate community services based on their needs such as food assistance, home healthcare and prescription drug assistance. The coordinator provides special events and recreational opportunities such as special speakers, bus trips to the Casino, and exercise classes.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Connecticut, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.
