Catholic Charities Affordable Apartments.Catholic Charities Housing manages four properties,  including Ecumenical Tower, Kennedy Manor, and  Carter Plaza in Dubuque and Alabar Plaza in Waterloo, IA.  We welcome qualified tenants without regard to race, age, religion, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, familial status, or the presence of any mental or physical disability.

Kennedy Manor is a 72 unit, 1-3 bedroom, family apartment complex located on Dubuque's west end.  Property is located near public transportation, Eisenhower elementary school and shopping. Served by Roosevelt Middle School and Hempstead High School.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Each apartment is furnished with refrigerator, stove, and air conditioning appliances, bathtub and shower facilities and storage closets.

Property features coin operated laundry facilities in each building, off street parking, large green space (site covers 5 acres), playground equipment, an on-site computer lab which is an IowaWorks Access Point for career preparedness, skills training, and unemployment resources, and 24 hour maintenance.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in Iowa, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.
