  • 2. Get all of your documentation in order: When you apply for low income housing, you will need to provide documentation of your income, assets, and household composition. This documentation may include tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and birth certificates.

I had been working with male counselor who was so very nice and helpful and understanding which made such a difference when going through ready to live on the streets. So i did qualify for the hud low income for seniors and i was pretty much homeless, my home of 27 yrs full of black mold, inspector said it was inhabitable and i had to get out of there which i was getting very very sick over the years had to leave now it's in foreclosure with everything i own inside there. Anyway i had called him and asked if he had any more listings of apartments and he said well it's been a little over 3 mo's so you have to get a credit report done again and then i seen all the applications again and i didn't think that i would have to do that all over with 3 months because nothing changed in 3 mo's time for me.
