Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in California, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

      User Response: This location is within two blocks of 4 major bus lines serving two of the South bays largest shopping malls. There is a medium sized grocery store within 3 short blocks and two large super markets just 1 mile away and on two of the bus lines. Target and Walmart are both easily accessible from a short bus ride or ten minutes by car. The Villas are within a mile of Gardena Memorial Hospital and within 3 miles of UCLA''S Harbor General Hospital and Kaiser Permanent is nearby as well. Both the West L.A. and Long Beach Veteran Facilities are a bit far by bus, however a ride to and from can be arranged using ACCESS . There are three Dollar stores within a mile and along bus routes . The 110 freeway is about a half mile away and the 405 is just two miles near by. There is a bicycle shop, a second hand store, several restaurants, bakeries,, a world renowned deli, and several computer and cell phone stores within walking distance, and a 24 hour convenience store is just a half mile away. You really couldn't ask for or find a better location for goods and services. There is even a bowling alley and two laundry mats within walking distance.
