South Gate Senior Villas is a 71-unit senior, low-income apartment community located just a short distance away from the 105 and 710 freeways in the city of South Gate and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, banks, medical clinics, a recreational park, a senior center and public transportation. We have on-site laundry facilities, professionally landscaped grounds, gated parking and a large community room for our residents' enjoyment. Each apartment includes air conditioning/heating and a full kitchen with a stove and refrigerator as well as grab bars in the bathrooms for our residents' convenience.

Eligibility
Head of household must be at least 55 years-old at time application is submitted. Household income must not exceed the low-and moderate-income of the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) annual income limits. Section 8 vouchers are welcome.

Qualifications: Do you qualify to live here?
To qualify for low income housing in California, you must meet the following income requirements:

Your household income must be below 80% of the area median income (AMI). The AMI is updated annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and varies by county.

You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.
