Founded In 1981, The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation's (TNDC) Mission Is To Provide Safe, Affordable Housing With Supportive Services For Low-Income People In The Tenderloin Community And Be A Leader In Making The Neighbhorhood A Better Place To Live. TNDC Owns And Operates 25 Buildings And Houses Over 2,500 Residents, Who Earn Less Than $20,000 A Year And Are Considered By The U.S. Dept. Of Housing And Urban Development As Being "Extremely Low-Income." In Addition, TNDC's Supportive Services (A Team Of On-Site Social Workers And An After-School Center For Children And Teens) Are Providing A Foundation For Building Better Lives.
