Broward Housing Solutions® provides independent, permanent, and supportive housing to persons diagnosed with mental illness in rental apartment units across Broward County.

Properties are accessible to transportation, shopping, employment opportunities and services. Based on the tenant's housing needs, one, two and three bedroom properties are available in various cities.

Through the referral and support of community-based mental health providers, Broward Housing Solutions® is able to offer affordable subsidized rents to each tenant and their family for only 30 percent of their gross monthly income. Various programs and grants supplement this program.

Every individual needs to be referred to Broward Housing Solutions® by one of the four mental health service providers we are partnered with. The four agencies are Archways, Broward County Elderly and Veterans Service, Henderson Behavioral Health Center, and SOS Children's Village.
a)   Why Archways, Broward County Elderly and Veterans Service, Henderson Behavioral Health Center, and/or SOS Children's Village?
These agencies have been approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families whose regulations we must adhere to.
b) Can I be referred through another agency?
No. Regrettably, even if it is an accredited mental health agency, we are mandated to only accept referrals from one of the four agencies mentioned above. The only exception is for non-subsidized properties. The individuals who occupy these properties must be income-qualified and still have a mental-health case manager. Income must be between $1,000 for a studio apartment and up to $3,000 for a three-bedroom unit.

Note: Apartments may not have openings or may have long waiting lists. Call for complete details.
