You must have a valid Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).

You must be a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant.

In addition to the income requirements, you may also need to meet other eligibility requirements, such as:

- You must not have been evicted from any public housing or Section 8 housing in the past three years.
- You must not have any outstanding felony convictions for drug-related offenses.
- You must not be a registered sex offender.

    My income is $1360. 00 per month from social security. Mcr supplement for health a pharmacy estimated at 300. 00. Estimated utilities and rent (current rent on $400 apt. In arkansas in $207) is $275 for utilities. The utility estimate may be low, i am unfamiliar with actual costs there. So total rent, ins, pharmacy and utilities are estimated at $784. I have an already hud approved apartment open me on three notch st. Is this enough to give me an inkling of what my rent would be?
